Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament, Francis Zaake, was rushed to the hospital today after a scuffle broke out in Uganda’s Parliament during a plenary session. The confrontation reportedly erupted when Zaake raised an alarm about security concerns within the chambers. According to sources, Zaake alleged that some individuals who were not MPs had entered the House armed with firearms, which prompted a heated exchange with fellow legislators.

The incident highlights rising tensions over security within Uganda's legislative chambers. As of now, details on Zaake’s condition remain unclear, and it is unknown if any further measures will be taken to address the security concerns he raised. Parliament officials have yet to release an official statement regarding the altercation and the allegations raised by Zaake.

This development has stirred public discourse on security protocols in place within Parliament, with calls for investigations to ensure the safety of lawmakers during sessions.
