Donald Trump Sworn in as 47th President of the United States


In a historic ceremony on January 20, 2025, Donald J. Trump was inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States, marking his return to the White House for a second, non-consecutive term. 


Inauguration Highlights:


Venue: The inauguration took place indoors at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda due to frigid weather conditions. 


Oath of Office: Administered to President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, marking the commencement of their term. 


Attendees: Notable figures, including tech moguls Mark Zuckerberg, Shou Chew, and Elon Musk, were present. 



President Trump's Inaugural Address:


In his speech, President Trump declared, "America is back," and pledged unwavering dedication to the nation:


"Every single day, I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America."


Background on President Donald J. Trump:


Early Life: Born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City, Donald John Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a successful real estate developer. 


Education: He attended the New York Military Academy and later graduated from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania. 


Business Career: Trump expanded his family's real estate business, establishing The Trump Organization and developing numerous high-profile properties. 


Political Career: He served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021.  After a hiatus, he won the 2024 election, defeating Kamala Harris with 312 electoral votes to her 226, and was inaugurated as the 47th President on January 20, 2025. 



Historical Significance:


President Trump's return to office makes him the second U.S. president to serve non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland.

Muhoozi Kainerugaba , has concluded high-level talks with his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Liu Zhenli , resulting in the signing of a new bilateral military agreement. The deal aims to strengthen cooperation in defence training , technology transfer , and strategic coordination .
